More Additions to the Family

This weekend we picked up seven baby chicks. We are planning on raising them for their eggs. We try to handle them everyday to get them use to us.

It was hard to get good pictures of them because they are running around constantly. Maybe we can get some pictures in the future that show them all. We have four different breeds: the Americana, Buff Orpington, Wyandotte, and Rhode Island Red. They are sure cute when they are chicks.

Cute! Sure wish we lived closer because I know Soren would LOVE this.

aw they are so cute! I want to hold one right now! Can't wait to come home and visit to see the cow and chicks! Are you giving them names too??

How fun. I miss having chickens. We had Americanas that laid blue and yellow eggs but only every other day. Our Reds laid brown eggs daily.

How fun! I'm so jealous - I keep telling Ben that I want a milk cow and cute little chickens for eggs. Looks like you just beat me to it. :)
Keep us updated on how it's going!
